In Insomniac Game's Marvel’s Spider-Man, the titular character has an abundance of suits that he can wear, to show off to New York City in style, and quip the days away as he beats up bad guys and saves the day. Some of these suits are unique to the game, and others are faithful recreations from films, comics, and shows, featuring the best Spider-Man suits in the game.

The Spider-Armor look is a brief entry into the Spider-Man mythos, but an iconic and fan-favorite that has featured in multiple video games as an alternate outfit for Spider-Man. The Spider-Armor MK 1 can be used in Marvel’s Spider-Man, featuring the iconic silver metallic panels.

This suit was used by Spider-Man at Empire State University to become bulletproof. The suit features in one issue of the comics in 1993 but has retained great admiration.

With a clothless white body and a skull for a head, the Spirit Spider suit is an odd one, but equally terrifying for criminals that see this suit swinging towards them. The Spirit Spider suit is something of nightmares, from its skin-tight aesthetic to the skull head with blue fire. It’s a bizarre suit, with an origin from the comics.

On Earth-11638, Peter Parker’s Uncle Ben never died, and Ben helped train Peter into the hero known as the Amazing Spider. However, Peter was corrupted by power and died. Yet, Dr. Banner resurrected him, and he became the Ghost Spider, forever changed.

It’s impossible to get the classic wrong. Spider-Man’s iconic colors of bold reds and bold blues have been the staple of his suit since his conception. Spider-Man’s classic suit is in the game, and in a setting as realistic and beautiful as Insomniac Games’ Spider-Man, it’s ironic to be living in the comic world.

The Classic Suit gives players that iconic Spider-Man look, so they can battle bad guys, crawl up walls, and swing around New York City as if they’ve just put a comic book in a 3D space.

As one of the more interesting suits in the game and the Spider-Man mythos, the Noir Suit is all black and has matching attire from a WW1 era. The design is unique to Spider-Man, featuring a gun holster with a revolver, headgear and aviator glasses for a mask, and a beautiful recreation from the comics.

In the comics, the Noir Suit belongs to Peter Parker from Earth-90214. This Peter was an investigative reporter, who finds bad guys and punishes them personally. It’s great to see Insomniac show off one of the more iconic Spider-Verse characters.

The appearance of this suit is to the pleasure and joy of many Spider-Man fans from the comics. Spider-Man 2099 is Miguel O’Hara, a character set to feature prominently in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. The appearance of the costume is more in line with the version seen in the game Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions than in the comic.

The outfit featured in Marvel’s Spider-Man is blue, rather than black, and has many red highlights and a large red spider that vaguely resembles a skull. It’s a great suit for those wanting to play as Spider-Man out of time.

When dealing with an IP as famed and beloved as Spider-Man, it is important to make sure it is done right. Insomniac Games achieved success with a beautiful Spider-Man game, and with it, their unique design stands out from other depictions of Spider-Man. The suit feels powerful and worthy of a new Spider-Man. Considering Peter Parker is older in this universe, it’s nice to see a new suit represent his progress from teen hero to an adult with more responsibility.

One of the more iconic and ridiculous looks of Spider-Man returns for Marvel’s Spider-Man. The suit features the iconic Fantastic Four outfit, along with a paper bag as a mask to disguise Peter Parker’s true identity. The outfit is entirely silly, and fun to see in the game.

The origins of this costume come from when Reed Richards helped separate Peter Parker from the Symbiote and left Peter without a costume. To fight crime and avoid having his identity exposed, he wore this outfit and became the Bombastic Bag-Man.

The iconic deep scarlet colors and gold accents are featured in the Iron Spider Armor. This suit, which has its rendition in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, is the more comic-accurate version. Appearing in Marvel’s Spider-Man, this costume came from the Marvel’s Civil War storyline, a suit created by Tony Stark to influence Peter Parker’s decision to join his team.

The Iron Spider Armor has great color to it, and swinging through New York City makes the costume stand out with the rays of the sun highlighting the metallic gold bracers.

Many fans celebrated the arrival of Spider-Man into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It was a celebration to behold, the return of one of Marvel’s greatest heroes into the same universe as the many beloved characters like Iron Man and Captain America. Insomniac Games wonderfully recreate the suit from Spider-Man: Homecoming, the collaborative film from Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios.

The Stark Suit is famed for being a costume given to Peter Parker by Tony Stark to help fight his battle against Captain America in Captain America: Civil War. This suit is perfectly recreated, down to the fabric weaving.

Many open-world games will feature a great reward for completion. A reward to the player and a thank you from the developer for experiencing everything that the game they created has to offer. When players reach 100% in Marvel’s Spider-Man, they do not gain a gold suit, or special abilities, but instead, Spider-Man wearing his Spider-Man underwear.

The Undies suit is a humorous outfit and a far cry from the many comic-accurate costumes in the game. It features his Spider-Man mask, web-shooters, and Spidey-themed underwear. Look closely, and Peter Parker’s iconic three chest hairs are also present.

Audiences to the Spider-Man mythos were introduced to a fairly recent version of the character with Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. Not only was the animation stellar, but the story of Miles Morales becoming Spider-Man was inspirational to many. In Marvel’s Spider-Man, fans can use Peter Parker’s suit from Into the Spider-Verse.

What makes the Into the Spider-Verse Suit so special is the fact that Insomniac Games made the effort to make the animations feel like they are straight from the animated film. The suit truly pops and looks like it’s from a stylized cartoon universe.

For many fans of Spider-Man, the Sam Raimi trilogy was their introduction to the character. Spider-Man’s cinematic debut was seen in 2002’s Spider-Man, a film that brought Marvel Comics to the silver screen without making fun of what made them great. The Webbed Suit is the iconic Spider-Man suit worn by Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man.

From the raised webbing to the lenses, Insomniac Games got the detail perfect on their version of the suit. It’s a faithful recreation, and allows fans to experience their own Spider-Man 4, even before Spider-Man: No Way Home saw the character return.

Spider-Man Remastered is out now for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC.
