Several fire departments in Huron County will receive some extra cash to help pay for replacement equipment.

The county received more than $732,454 from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Assistance to Firefighters Grants program. The money is to replace self-contained breathing apparatus-style air packs.

Departments benefitting from the funding include those in Bad Axe, Caseville, Harbor Beach, Port Ausitn, plus Bingham, Sherman and Sigel townships.
