A Mount Prospect fire lieutenant is suing the village and some of its top staffers alleging misconduct and harassment within the fire department and for allegedly attempting to fire him for coming forward with his claims.

A federal lawsuit from Lt. Steven Edwards was filed in U.S. District Court Monday, Aug. 22 against the village, former Fire Chief Brian Lambel, current Fire Chief John Dolan, Battalion Fire Chief Aaron Grandgeorge, and Director of Human Resources Heidi Neu.
