Cutting Tools: Electric and Hydraulic

Enerpac’s E-Series of hydraulic and electric cutters are designed to cut a wide variety of construction materials. EB Series bar cutters are able to cut round metal bar up to #14 rebar. The flat bar cutters can accommodate high-tensile flat bar up to 23⁄4 in. high and 1⁄2 in. thick. The E-Series wire and cable cutters are designed to reduce vibration during operation. The ECC-Series chain cutter features an integrated shield to protect the user and bystanders when cutting industrial chain.

Case’s F-Series compact wheel loaders are now available with adjustable electrohydraulic controls. The operator can adjust the responsiveness of the loader lift arms using a three-way rocker switch on the side console. This allows for greater control of the bucket edge when dumping or placing materials. An electronically controlled inching valve is linked to a new pedal in the cab for when the operator needs more precise movements at slow speeds.

Horizontal Directional Drill: Small Footprint

The JT24 horizontal direction drill is powered by a 101-hp Cummins diesel engine and boasts 24,000 lb of thrust and pullback. Despite its relatively small footprint, the JT24 HDD can carry up to 400 ft of drill pipe on board, making it well suited for utility installations in crowded areas with limited access. The HDD has a top carriage speed of about 216 ft per minute and can traverse uneven terrain and roadside curbs.

Aerial Lifts: Sensor Package Prevents Collisions

The JLG SkySense sensor package is now available as an option on JLG boom lifts and scissor lifts. The system’s ultrasonic sensors can detect when the lift is approaching an obstacle, and it will provide audible and visual alarms while automatically slowing down and halting the lift before a collision. The lift operator then has the option to override the SkySense and slowly approach the obstacle. The system is intended for lifts being used indoors or anywhere where overhead obstacles may lead to collision or entrapment. The sensor package is available as a factory-installed option or an aftermarket addition.
